Senior side promoted and a ball hasn't been kicked!

The first club council meeting of the Lothian and Edinburgh AFA was held last night and with a number of teams withdrawing from the association a late and hurried reshuffle of the divisions was called for. As a result Albion's Seniors have been elevated to Premier Division 2. The Ams management team commented that "it weas always our goal to aim for promotion to Premier Two this season, so we've achieved this goal a season early. The challenge is now there to push ahead and we'll certainly approach the challenge with optimism". Some rethinking will have to done by the management team and the next fortnight will be primed towards further strengthening the squad.

It would take 5 months worth of usual Tuesday sessions to impart the coaches knowledge, but our week in August will fast track five months worth of coaching into a 5 day soccer school. With Phase II of the U10 soccer 7s season due to commence on Sunday 28 August, the soccer school will ensure the lads are ready. The project has proved very popular, and the club has been swamped with calls and email enquiries. Please note that applications are only open to Redpath Albion Junior club U10 members
